Our thanks to Gillingham Street Angels for such a generous food donation

Our thanks to Gillingham Street Angels for such a generous food donation: https://www.facebook.com/TheStreetAngels/

Abigail Newman, specialist support worker at our Wayfield Supported Living service in Chatham said ‘I saw on Gillingham Street Angels Facebook page that they had had a large donation of fresh fruit and vegetables from a local Sainsbury’s. I contacted the founder, who’s son attends our Lock Street day centre. I explained who I was, and he said I was very welcome to visit and pick anything that our residents required.

I was given bread, milk, rice, pasta and more. The fresh vegetables were either cooked and frozen or made into a delicious vegetable pasta meal. The tomatoes have been cooked and frozen to make a base for spaghetti Bolognese or lasagne. It’s amazing what a small world it is and that kind people are everywhere at this very unusual time.

Thank you Gillingham Street Angels!!
