Fundraisers Hall of Fame

Throughout each year, some of our amazing supporters come up with such creative ideas to help raise much needed funding to support our charity and Family Support service.  See below some of our fundraisers' achievements.

We also receive donations from organsiations, Trusts / Foundations and individual donors, all of which we are so grateful for!  This page is designed to share ideas and appreciate the efforts we receive in raising much needed funding.

Aarav Shrestha

Aarav Shrestha sold t-shirts to raise money for the Nepalese Doctors Association charity dinner.  He raised a fantastic £50 for our Family Support service.

Nepalese Doctors Association UK

Drs Parul and Ashish Shrestha on behalf of Nepalese Doctors Association UK held a charity dinner and raffle, raising a huge £1,000 + £250 gift aid for our Family Support service.

Kendra Clulow

Kendra Clulow raised £350 completing a sponsored 14.5 mile walk during Autism Acceptance Week.

Isaac Ayres

Leeds & Broomfield CE Primary School raised £405.  Isaac Ayres nominated The Kent Autistic Trust for the school charity of the year, whilst elected as chair of the school council.  They organised a sponsored walk, which the whole school took part in.

Sally Richards

Sally asked guests at her 60th birthday celebrations to contribute to donations  instead of gifts and raised a huge £675.

Nicola Hadaway

Nicola Hadaway raised a huge £8,893 for our Family Support service, holding a boxing match 'Fighting for Autism'.

Carl Page

Carl Page took part in the Tough Mudder Challenge.  The Tough Mudder Challenge is the world's best team-based obstacle course and mud run, raising a total of £1,235.

NCS Margate

NCS Margate are a group of 16 / 17 year olds.  They took part in a sponsored walk and run at Margate Football Club and raised a fantastic £317.

Stephen Muxworthy

Stephen fundraised with the help of his support worker; Carol Bratton, raising a fantastic £470 for our Family Support service from a BBQ and games afternoon.

Kate Rowland

Kate Rowland of Past Sentence bookshop in Faversham, raised £340 from having a collection pot on her shop counter and encouraging donations.

Claudia Goodman

Claudia Goodman has been raising funds by taking donations for prints of her son Matthew's art.  Matthew was diagnosed with autism aged 3, he is now now 33 and loves to draw.  Claudia raised £1,010!

Helen Bigsby

Helen Bigsby successfully completed the Virtual London Marathon in 7 hours and 24 minutes on 3rd October 2021 and raised a total of £462.

Oscar Barker

Oscar is a 7 years old and has complex Autism, his complexities include, Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Extreme Anxiety, a mood and eating disorder with unpredictable behaviours that are out of his control.  Oscar has memorised and named 40 Fish and Sealife as part of his challenge and has raised a total of £530!

Jo Blamires

Jo Blamires takes part in a National Office of Statistics Covid study, which means she is tested for Covid once a month.  She receives £25 in shopping vouchers for each test and has pledged to donate the equivalent of 10 months vouchers £250 to help fundraise for our 250/400 Challenge.

Magenta Compliance Ltd

Magenta Compliance Ltd donated £250 to help fundraise for our 250/400 Challenge.  He hopes to encourage other companies to help support by donating or fundraising for the challenge.  As Director, Bill Simpson has been running Magenta for over 40 years.  Magenta work closely with clients across the UK, supporting their compliance, safety, training, maintenance and recruitment needs.  www.magcom.co.uk

John Andersen held a quiz night on Wednesday, 13th October, 2021 and raised a fantastic £674.05.

Wendy Pearson, took on the challenge to walk and run 100km during November.  She raised a total of £340

Born Anxious

Kellie Barker, Owner of Born Anxious Clothing sold some items of clothing whilst exhibiting at a festival and raised £100, she has also raised over £700 in raffles and donations from a % of her clothing brand sales.

Trinity Lodge 7021

Trinity Masonic Lodge 7021 Margate, have kindly donated £250 to help raise funds for our 250/400 Challenge, you can read more about their work here:  Trinity Lodge 7021

CCCU Athletics

CCCU Athletics are took on the challenge of running, walking, cycling or jogging 1364 miles throughout the whole of January, this was 62 miles per member.  They raised a fantastic £391!

Tunbridge Wells Railway Station

Nicholas Corke from South Eastern Railways arranged to raise funds throughout Autism Awareness Week holding a bake sale at Tunbridge Wells Station.  They raised a fantastic £152.37!

Sittingbourne Job Centre Plus held a staff dress down day, raising a total of £43.

Alan Jiggins took part in The Medway Mile, kindly raising £28.

Mike Vorster

On Friday, 24th June 2022, Mike Vorster cycled up Mount Snowdon accompanied by 7 others.  They raised a total of £2,730.

Dan Diamond

Dan Diamond took part in a 4 x 4 x 48 challenge, running 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours from midnight on 27th May, 2022.  Throughout the night and day, he finally completed 2 marathons in 48 hours. Dan raised a total of £1,290.

ISG and Penson

PENSON, Sir Chris Hoy & 6 Construction Industry Executives joined forces to help raise funds for The Kent Autistic Trust, Kidz2gether & UNICEF by competing in the Citroen C1 24-hour race at Silverstone GP Circuit in May 2022.  They raised a huge £24,000 with £10,000 being donated to KAT.

Autism Threads

Autism Threads raised £123 for our Family Support service by holding an evening event at The Edit Boutique in Tonbridge.

Funds were raised through ticket sales and profits made on the sale of Autism Threads products during the evening.

Christ Church Student Union Athletics team raised a further £402.08 through various sporting challenges.

Paul Mackie & Friends

Paul Mackie, Gareth Brooks, Alex May, Jason Humphris, Paul Briggs and 7 of their other good friends, took part in the Tough Mudder 10K on 25th September, 2022, bravely taking on the 20-obstacle course and raising £1,120.  The Hengist Village Bar & Dining Room in Aylesford, donated a 3-course meal for 4 people plus a bottle of wine and raffled the prize to raise an extra £360 towards their total.

Helen Jones & Kent Space

Helen Jones (Manager) along with staff at Kent Space in Chatham held a Christmas Tombola raising £215.

Kacper Kohut

Kacper Kohut took part in the 4 x 4 x 48 Challenge, running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours on 5th March 2022.  He raised a total of £190.

Avril Roots

Avril Roots raises funds through cake, apple, card sales and encouraging donations to her collection pot.  Over the last 4 years, she has raised a total of £1305.51.

Whitstable & Seasalter Golf Club 

Jon Perkins; Captain of Whitstable & Seasalter Golf Club kindly chose our charity to raise funds for all year and during their golf day on 10th September, 2022, they raised a total of £2,000.

Kent County Bowling Association

Joy Burton; President of Kent County Bowling Association has been raising funds all year for KAT through various events and activities at the Bowling Club, finished off with a meal and presidents charity day.  She raised a total of £1,500.

Benenden Tennis Tournament

Founded in the 1930s, the Benenden Tennis Tournament takes place annually in July in the grounds of Benenden School in Kent.  In July 2022, KAT were selected as one of the many charities they would raise funds for at the event, raising a total of £500 for our charity.

DS Smith Retail Marketing in Aylesford raised £263.10 by holding a 'wear something green day'.

Select Space

Select Space, a commercial letting company in Bexley, raised funds following the passing of one of their long-standing tenants, whose son was connected to KAT.  They asked for staff to donate funds rather than buy flowers, raising a total of £60.

Lisa Nicholl's son and his friends raised £139.25 selling badges and bookmarks at a coffee and cake morning.

Furley Page Solicitors in Canterbury, chose The Kent Autistic Trust as their Charity of the Year. 2020.  They organised many staff activities and events throughout the year, raising a huge £5,000!

Shane Milligan's 1920's Evening

Shane Milligan hosted a 1920s night to raising a total of £383.51. 

A night full of fun with Peaky Blinder lookalikes and impersonators, photographers with Peaky Blinders props, a fine cigar stand selling quality cigars, raffle / auction and DJ Moley Lynham playing 1920s dance music.

Carol and Richard Riley held their Annual Garden Party which hosts a fantastic mini railway, they raised a total of £140.94.

Heather Brooks and friends organised an evening of entertainment, lots of singing, acting and dancing.  The variety show raised £344.50.

Dovetail Games

Dovetail Games in Chatham chose us as their charity of the year and spent 12 months organising various office themed events, such as pancake day's, sweet shop sales, office bingo, dress down days.  They finished off their events with a climb up Mount Snowdon.  In total they they raised an amazing £1,890.
