New Developments
We are currently raising funds for a new Supported Living development in Newton Close, Chatham.

Newton One – A life-changing milestone
We are proud to announce the successful completion of Newton One, a £550,000 refurbishment project in Chatham, Kent, which transformed a former GP surgery and day service into high-quality supported living accommodation for six autistic adults. Completed in April 2025, Newton One is already delivering life-changing outcomes.
We have been able to transform lives by supporting people who previously lived predominately in communal settings for most of their lives. They can now finally ‘have a real life’ with their own autonomous living arrangements, the ability to get up and wash in their own bathrooms and make their dinner or cup of tea when they choose, not just when they are ‘free’…. this has achieved more independent community living and transforming lives in a less restrictive way.
Other people came out of hospital to finally find purpose and manage their own lives with specialist support; this has enabled people to live in the community and have a good life. Weekly care costs have also reduced significantly and therefore this arrangement has been a win-win ; less expensive and freeing up the NHS.

Newton Two – Building the future
Following the success of Newton One, we are now launching Newton Two, a new-build supported living development on adjoining land at Newton Close. This project will provide urgently needed accommodation for nine autistic adults with complex needs, many of whom have been waiting months or even years for a suitable placement.
With planning permission secured in November 2023, construction is set to begin in October 2025, with completion expected by the end of 2026.
Newton Two will be purpose-built to meet the sensory and emotional needs of its residents, featuring robust, low-stimulation design elements such as underfloor heating, fob-access doors, and hot water restrictors. The accommodation will reduce behaviours of concern, improve mental health, and promote independence and safety.
We can build on the success of Newton One and offer more autistic adults the opportunity to live fulfilling lives in the community.
