A big thank you to Gillingham Lions Club

Left to right: Chris Iles (1st Vice President of GLC), Barry Sprason (President of GLC), Vanessa Evans (Brompton House Manager), Serita Boxall (Grants & Appeals Officer), Tracy Long (Regional Manager for Medway), Elaine Higham (2nd Vice President and PR officer at GLC)

Our thanks to Gillingham Lions Club who have very generously donated a 40" TV and DVD player for the communal area at our new establishment Brompton House in Gillingham, Kent.

Brompton House is a new development for the Trust of 7 flats to support adults with Autism in a supported living environment.  This will enable people we support to live as independently and safely as possible and offer support with cooking and healthy eating, shopping, learning new skills for independence and managing medication along with support to access the community and participate fully in all aspects of activities and services.

The communal TV and DVD player donated by Gillingham Lions Club, will provide an additional communal facility, helping our adults to interact and enabling them to spend more time socialising together if they wish.

Vanessa Evans, the new Manager for Brompton House said 'We are so very grateful for the donation'

The Lions Club of Gillingham are very involved within the community in many different ways, you can visit their website for more info at http://www.gillinghamlionsclub.org.uk

Our many thanks to Barry Sprason President, Chris Iles 1st Vice President, Elaine Higham, 2nd Vice President and PR officer and all members at the Gillingham Lions Club for such a generous donation.

Chris Iles will be taking over as president from next July and said 'next year will be our 50th Year in Gillingham and my 50th year in the Lions.  So there will be quite a celebration at some time in April or May 2020'.
