On Friday 8th November 2019 the Tunbridge Wells Tonbridge & District Law Society held its annual ball raising funds and awareness for The Kent Autistic Trust. The dinner was held at the Spa Hotel Mount Ephraim in Tunbridge Wells.
Matthew Sabine, a Partner at Warners Solicitors in Tonbridge, is the current President of the Tunbridge Wells & Tonbridge District Law Society.
Matthew said 'Each year a charity is nominated and funds raised by a fun game of ‘Heads and Tails’ and this year as President I nominated the Kent Autistic Trust. We are pleased to say that a total of £1,145.00 was raised for the Trust on the evening.
I nominated KAT as my daughter was diagnosed with ASD some years ago. What then followed was a two year period whilst my wife and I came to terms with the diagnosis and it has only been in the last two years that we have been able to progress with support for our daughter and ourselves. What has been obvious to us is that the support that can be obtained from the authorities is limited and so organisations such as The Kent Autistic Trust are a vital lifeline to help those who cannot access support in other ways'.
Thank you from us all at the Trust for your efforts in raising funds and awareness for us!!
