Kind donation from 1:1 Diet to Curlew Crescent in Strood

Amy Collins who works for the The 1:1 Diet Kent with Amy and Steve, very kindly, recently donated 40 Healthy Ready meals; and 50 bags of Fava beans to our Curlew Crescent residential home in Strood and is due to donated even more!!

Amy said ‘My son Jack is autistic, and we are so grateful for all the support from you guys and so I wanted to donate to show my thanks and help during this difficult time. This lock down has been so hard for Jack, out of his routine and not being able to do the things he loves (he says he misses Mac Donald’s so much!). But he has tried so hard...

helping me work from home, doing his daily homework, playing with his little brothers and adapting to a life, which is very different to one he knows.

The Kent Autistic Trust are such a wonderful organisation offering lots of advice and support, and we are so grateful for all they have done for us as a family, so Jack coloured the staff a picture and we put together some donations of ready meals and snacks for their amazing staff!

Jack loved doing this, and we hope the staff enjoyed their meals and Fava beans. Special shout out to all the parents of children with additional needs.... as it’s a tough time for us all. But keep going!’

Thank you from us all!!
