This Sunday, 26th April 2020, marks the start of the #TwoPointSixChallenge, and what would have been the London Marathon. Many planned events that were due to help raise funds for us, have been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. So we’re appealing for your support to take on The 2.6 Challenge.
Support through this simple, fun challenge will go a long way to ensuring we have the funding to maintain our vital Family Support service, so together we can continue to support autistic people and their families...
All you need to do is think of an activity that suits your skills based around the number 2.6 or 26. The campaign is open to anyone of any age – the only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. You can choose to fundraise and ask for donations from family and friends or donate directly.
Step 1:
Get inspired
You don't have to be a marathon runner to take part. 2.6 miles? 26 yoga poses? Maybe juggling for 2.6 minutes or a walking hand stand for 26 seconds? Take a look at some challenge ideas to get you inspired here https://twopointsixchallenge.justgiving.com/inspiration
Step 2:
Take part
Create a fundraising page for your challenge or, simply complete a challenge and donate to your chosen charity afterwards https://twopointsixchallenge.justgiving.com/fundraise
Step 3:
Donate, share and nominate
Donate to the cause, share a picture or video on social media when you’ve done your 2.6. Then tag three friends or family members and challenge them to have a go and use the hashtag #TwoPointSixChallenge.
