We are deeply saddened by the loss of a valued member of our autistic women’s community, Gillian Harrison.

Emilymay Miles; Autism Information Officer said 'Gillian was a wonderful advocate for autistic people, and especially for autistic women. She was the first openly autistic woman I met in one of the peer groups we held when I first joined KAT. Her story stayed with me.

When Gillian asked a simple question—why not create a group specifically for autistic women—and shared her reasons, she ignited my passion to make that support a reality.

It is because of her passion, ideas, and determination that we now have a thriving women’s peer group, supporting so many women in understanding themselves and each other. Her legacy will live on in every woman our group reaches'.
