Congratulations to Mandy Penfold, our Cluster Assistant Manager for Beaver Lane and Jemmett Road, who celebrates 23 years of working with KAT this week. Mandy said ‘23 years ago, aged just 23 years old I started working for KAT, not for one minute thinking that over two decades later, albeit in a different role I would still be here.
It’s not just a job, to do it well, you have to actually care and at KAT that's exactly what you get...lots of people who care, who will go above and beyond for the people they support.
Over the last 23 years I've certainly had difficult days in my role, but luckily there have been an abundance of great days and the amazing people we support to remind me why I love the job I do. The last year personally has been the toughest I've ever had, but it has also shown me how kind and supportive my colleagues at KAT are’.
