A big thank you from us all at The Kent Autistic Trust to DS Smith Retail Marketing (Aylesford) for choosing KAT as their charity of the year 20/21.
Linda Hall, Senior Production Account Handler said ‘we decided that we would like to choose a local charity to support for the year, as this was nominated by our Employee Forum. Six charities were shortlisted, and the Kent Autistic Trust received an overwhelming amount of votes, becoming our Charity of the Year for 2020/2021.
KAT were nominated by a member of our staff who has a personal experience with autism and has used the services of the charity previously. We felt that this was a worthy winner due to the personal nature of the nomination and it has already raised awareness within the company for other members of staff needing autism support within their own families. We are looking forward to coming up with new and exciting fundraising ideas, where we can involve everyone across our site and hopefully raise plenty of money’.
